Emerging Technology Committee

The Emerging Technology Committee (ETC) was convened under Kansas’ Rural Health Transformation Plan to evaluate and recommend artificial intelligence solutions and other technologies that meet the specific needs of rural providers. ETC members include health information technology experts from across Kansas.

Supporting ETC’s work is BioSTL, a nonprofit organization that regularly curates and convenes expert committees to assess promising technologies, ensuring they align with provider needs and deliver measurable impact. The Kansas Health Institute (KHI), a nonprofit organization that provides evidence‑based research, policy analysis, and educational support to improve the health of Kansans, is facilitating ETC’s operations.
