Emerging Technology Committee
The Emerging Technology Committee (ETC) was convened under Kansas’ Rural Health Transformation Plan to evaluate and recommend artificial intelligence solutions and other technologies that meet the specific needs of rural providers. ETC members include health information technology experts from across Kansas. Those members have adopted a charter to guide the ETC’s work over the next several years.

Supporting ETC’s work is BioSTL’s Center for Rural Health Innovation, a nonprofit organization that regularly curates and convenes expert committees to assess promising technologies, ensuring they align with provider needs and deliver measurable impact. The Kansas Health Institute (KHI), a nonprofit organization that provides evidence‑based research, policy analysis, and educational support to improve the health of Kansans, is facilitating ETC’s operations.
Information regarding ETC’s work, including materials from and recordings of ETC meetings, will be posted to this webpage. For more information, please contact Martie Ross at [email protected].
