Mobile Simulation Lab
Building on its experience bringing on-site emergency obstetrics simulation training to rural communities, the Care Collaborative will operate and staff a high-tech mobile simulation lab to train clinical teams in 90 rural communities over 4 years.
Lab capabilities will include high fidelity manikins and SimX, a 15-module virtual reality program (including mass casualty and motor vehicle accidents) with a virtual moderator that validates participants’ adherence to evidence-based practices.
Once the customized vehicle, equipment, and supplies have been delivered and the training team is in place, the Care Collaborative will start scheduling simulation trainings.
